Alison Pill

Pill produced in her home country of Canada but it would take several years to get her first appearance before she broke into productions in the American market. Bruce Gray starred on an episode of the Canadian show Traders. Pill secured a role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation featuring Wallace Langham, Liz Vassey, and Michael Ensign, in the episode "Would Have, Would've, and Should've" which was co-written and directed with Naren Shakar. Pill, who had worked in Picard for the previous year, later appeared as a secondary part of the character on Devs, a science fiction miniseries that was produced by FX Productions and Hulu. She played the exact same role, Katie, in each episode, much like she had she did in Picard. Its resemblance with Picard didn't end there. In the year in which she was featured, the primary theme of the series was around the preservation of consciousness within an artificial construct. This was the case in the case of Data and Data too.
